Resume Matcher: a resume that gets past the robot recruiter.
Resume MatcherOllamaClaude Code[From an @levizdev reel]
Before a human reads your resume, an applicant tracking system (ATS) parses it and filters people out. The free Resume Matcher shows you that in advance: it scores your resume 0–100 against a specific job, highlights missing keywords and shows how the robot will read your PDF. Then AI tailors your resume to the job, writes a cover letter and preps you for the interview. It can run entirely on your computer, so your resume never leaves it. This is episode 2; episode 1 is career-ops, the agent that finds jobs for you.
01/ Links
- Resume Matcher on GitHubThe repo: setup and SETUP.md with Windows details. Apache-2.0, free. ~29k stars.
- Docker DesktopThe easiest way to run it — one Docker command.
- OllamaFree models running on your own computer, so your resume stays offline.
- Episode 1: career-opsAn AI agent that finds jobs and scores them against your CV.
03/ How to run
- 01Install Docker Desktop and start it.
- 02In a terminal run: docker run --name resume-matcher -p 3000:3000 -v resume-data:/app/backend/data ghcr.io/srbhr/resume-matcher:latest
- 03Open http://localhost:3000 in your browser — the UI is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish and more.
- 04In Settings pick a model: Ollama — free and local (from Docker use http://host.docker.internal:11434); "Coding agent" — no key needed if you have Claude Code or Codex; or a cloud model with your own API key.
- 05Upload your master resume, paste the job description and open JD Match: a 0–100 score with matched and missing keywords. ATS Check shows how the robot will read your PDF.
- 06Generate a tailored resume, cover letter and interview questions, edit by hand and export to PDF.
- 07⚠️ A high score improves your odds of passing the automated filter but doesn't guarantee an offer. Don't add skills you don't have — it will show in the interview.

The prompt is a good start. If it has to live inside a real site, connect to sign-up and be production-ready, I'll build it end-to-end.
