An AI agent that job-hunts for you: career-ops.

Claude CodeGitHubNode.js[From an @levizdev reel]

A developer handed his job search to an AI agent: 740 listings → 68 applications → 12 interviews → 1 offer. Then he open-sourced it — the project now has over 77k stars on GitHub. The agent finds jobs, scores each one 1–5 against your CV, tailors your resume and cover letter to the company, tracks applications and preps you for interviews. You press Submit yourself.

03/ How to run

  1. 01Install Node.js from nodejs.org (LTS).
  2. 02Install a terminal AI agent: Claude Code (needs a Claude subscription) or Codex, OpenCode, Qwen and others — the README lists free and local model options.
  3. 03Open a terminal and run: npx @santifer/career-ops init — it downloads into a career-ops folder.
  4. 04Go into the folder with cd career-ops and start your agent: claude (or codex / opencode).
  5. 05On first launch the agent asks for your CV, profile and target roles in chat. Then paste a job link, or type /career-ops to see all commands.
  6. 06The author recommends skipping jobs scored below 4 out of 5. The agent fills in the form, but you press Submit.
  7. 07⚠️ Mostly international companies and tech roles: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Wellfound and 100+ pre-configured companies. Full list in the README.
